Russ’s Bio – A graduate of the International Academy of Canine Trainers, Russ Jeffery studied under Master Trainer Amber Cottle. Russ is active in the community working with individual clients and organizing his own Weekend Rusty Dog Walks around the Tri-Cities. Using positive reinforcement techniques of play/praise reward systems; Russ guides owners to live happily with their dogs and helps dogs be social. Russ shares his doggie time with Lilo, a five-year-old Sheltie, and Moki, an 18 month old Australian Shepherd.  German Pinscher.

Beginner Obedience (Duration: 6 weeks)
This course is designed to teach dogs and their owners the basics of doggie behavior, socialization and commands. Dogs will learn not to pull at their leash, and commands such as sit, heel, come and down – without relying on treats! Handlers will learn how to become pack leaders and set up behavioral boundaries now to prevent problems later.

This course is for puppies 12 weeks and up who have received their second set of shots, or older dogs that haven’t had any obedience training. It can also be used as a refresher course for older dogs that have been out of the classroom for a while, or those that wish to take the intermediate obedience class.

Beginner Obedience is a prerequisite for Intermediate Obedience.

Handouts and homework accompany every class.
Cost: $149.99 plus GST.

Intermediate Obedience (Duration: 6 weeks)
This course is designed to build upon the foundation of Beginner Obedience. Handlers will learn how to give their dog’s mental exercise, by adding distractions and developing off-leash techniques. The course focuses on calm behavior and more precise obedience routines within a guided classroom setting.

Beginner Obedience (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for this course.

Handouts and homework accompany every class.
Cost: $149.99 plus GST.
